How to stop wishing on a star and start getting results.
I learned the hard way. I spent years wishing things would be different, wondering what my life would have been like if I had, had a different childhood. If I was: prettier, smarter, wealthier. I spend hours in the gym trying to fix myself, to measure up to my ideal women. I spent thousands of dollars seeking experts to help me overcome my history and learn how to like who I am.
I remember a few year back when I began shifting my focus from the ongoing wish that things were different to the way I am going to share with you today. This one shift was the tipping point that allowed me to stop feeling trapped in my own skin to loving the skin I am in.
As a coach over the years, I have noticed common habit that has kept my clients feeling overwhelmed and out of control. The habit I am talking about is crippling to our self-esteem and keeps us trapped wanting.
It goes a little something like this:
- I wish my life was different.
- I want more (money, friends, and freedom).
- I’ll be happy when…
When we have the habit of wishful thinking, we get more things to wish about. “As a man thinkith he is.”
Today, is your lucky day if you have this far to common habit running your life from one wish to the next. Hoping for different results. Here is your golden ticket to new results and a more peaceful, comfortable and confident existence.
Stop wanting for things and start tapping into the power of desire.
The new way to stop wishing and start achieving:
- Step 1 – Acceptance – Accept your life as it is and most importantly as it was.
- Step 2 – Ask yourself these 3 powerful questions. Who do I desire to be? How do I desire to show up? How am I living this way right now?
- Step 3 – Confirmation. Declare who you desire to be, how you desire to show up and celebrate how you’re doing this right now in your life.
As you move through this clarity practice and give yourself the confidence of know who you desire to be NOW, you will find more confidence naturally build in your life. This allows you to let go of the overwhelm that creeps in when you are wishing and allows you to act powerfully in each moment.
