MEET DR. LISHA ANTIQUA
Renowned globally as The Trauma Transformer, Dr. Lisha Antiqua has spent over two decades guiding visionary leaders, entrepreneurs, and individuals through profound emotional healing and conscious self-reinvention.
"My work is deeply personal. I bridge the gap between academic clinical precision and soulful, transformative breakthrough so you can reclaim your sovereign identity."

I know what it means to have experiences shape who you believe you are before you are old enough to understand what is happening.
I survived childhood abuse. Like many survivors, I grew up carrying more than memories. I carried beliefs about myself, my worth, my body, love, relationships, safety, and what I thought I had to do to belong.
For years, I thought healing meant fixing what was wrong with me.
What changed my life was beginning to question the identity I had built around what happened.
Which parts of me were mine? Which were learned in survival? What did I believe because someone taught me to believe it? What would my life look like if I stopped asking my past to tell me who I was?
Those questions changed the direction of my life.
I began studying the human experience from every direction I could: psychology, the body, emotions, relationships, spirituality, behavior, belief, identity, and the ways people change.
Education gave me language. Teaching gave me perspective. Working with survivors showed me how differently the same wound can live inside different people. My own life kept asking me to practice what I was learning.
Eventually, I understood something that became the foundation of my work: Soul Psychology®
Surviving was something I did.
It was never the whole of who I was.
And healing became less about spending the rest of my life looking backward and more about learning how to consciously participate in who I became next.
My healing did not happen in a straight line.
I studied. I grew. I got sick; I went to University; I trained in different approaches to the body and mind. I taught yoga, breathwork, meditation, and practices designed to help people reconnect with themselves; I became a mother; I had supernatural healings; I got more certifications; I earned more degrees. While I was searching, I helped others.
And I still found myself inside patterns I thought I should have known better than to repeat.
During an abusive relationship, I became deeply aware of how much of my life was being driven by old patterns, ptsd and all the reactions so many survivors have, the fear, people-pleasing, old beliefs, and thoughts I had learned to treat as truth.
Then one day, standing in the shower, I had a simple realization:
That distinction changed something in me.
If I could observe a thought, then the thought was not the whole of me. If a belief had been learned, I could question it. If an old survival response was still making choices for me, I could begin practicing another response.
I became fascinated with a bigger question:
I kept studying.
Psychology. Transpersonal psychology. The nervous system. The body. Breath. Emotions. Relationships. Spirituality. Soul Psychology®. Human development. Behavior. Identity. The ways our experiences become beliefs, habits, reactions, and expectations.
But I also kept living it.
I wrote. I taught. I coached. I worked with students. I watched what happened when people stopped treating themselves as a problem to solve and started becoming curious about who they were underneath everything they had learned to be.
Over time, what began as my own search for myself became a body of work I could teach to others.
Different methods born from the same question:
Eventually, my story stopped being only about what I had survived.
It became about what I was going to do with what I had learned.
People began knowing me as The Trauma Transformer because transformation became the center of my work. I wasn’t interested in helping someone build an identity around being wounded forever. I wanted to understand what helps a person take what happened, learn from what it shaped, reclaim what belongs to them, and begin creating from choice again.
To me, transforming trauma does not mean pretending the past did not happen.
Your story matters. Your anger matters. Your grief matters. Your body remembers. The ways you learned to protect yourself deserve to be understood.
But your story also keeps going.
That belief changed the way I taught and coached. Instead of seeing a survivor as a collection of symptoms, I began looking at the whole person standing in front of me.
Who are you?
What do you believe about yourself?
How do you treat your body?
Where does your attention go?
What happens when you feel unsafe?
What do you tolerate in relationships?
What do you want?
What do you love?
What are you ready to experience that you have never experienced before?
And perhaps most importantly:
That is what The Trauma Transformer means to me.
My personal experience may have started the questions, but I have spent more than two decades studying them, teaching what I have learned, and helping others apply that work to their own lives.
My background brings together psychology, human development, trauma-informed care, mind-body practices, spirituality, communication, and the practical work of changing how we experience ourselves and our lives.

There came a point when I knew I did not want this work to live only inside my private practice, my books, or the rooms where I was teaching.
I wanted to create a place where people could study themselves.
A place where personal development could include the body, mind, emotions, relationships, spirituality, identity, purpose, and the experiences that shaped us.
A place where survivors could move beyond asking, “What happened to me?” and begin asking, “What do I want to create now?”
And a place where current or soon to be coaches, teachers, and emerging leaders could learn how to support other people with greater awareness of trauma, identity, and the whole human being.
That vision became Your Own University®.
Y.O.U. is where the work I developed became education that could reach beyond the people I could personally coach or teach.
It is home to the programs, classes, certifications, and learning experiences built around the same idea that has guided my own life:
You are worth studying.
You are worth knowing.
And you get to participate in who you become.

Behind the degrees, books, methods, stages, and more than 20+ years of this work, I’m still a woman living my own life and practicing what I teach.
I raised two daughters. I spent more than two decades in Alaska before trading snow and long winters for sunshine and life in Florida. I’ve built businesses, started over, written books, fallen in love, left relationships, changed my mind, questioned myself, taken risks, made mistakes, and created versions of my life I once could not imagine.
I love learning about people. I love conversations that go somewhere real. I love the body, movement, spirituality, beautiful experiences, travel, laughter, and those moments when someone suddenly sees themselves differently.
And I am still becoming.
That matters to me because I never want to teach personal development from a pedestal.
I believe we are all participating in the experiment or game of being human.
There are still things I have never done. Places I have never been. Parts of myself I have not met yet. Dreams I have not lived yet.
As I am writing this at 51, I am not interested in arriving.
I am interested in living.
And I want the same for the people who find their way into my work.
I am helping end the cycle of abuse. Not on the front lines like many people, but with the forgotten. The adults who's childhoods left them with symptoms of C-PTSD and memories that steal their happiness. I have worked to find proven, evidential ways to end the fear, pain and self hatred that this abuse leaves behind. So they no longer abuse themselves, body, mind or soul and they no longer feel like abuse is normal and walk away from it rather than trying to fix it, themselves or make an abuse understand.
This isn't done by only talking about what happened, but by helping the people who survived it reclaim the way they see themselves, care for themselves, love, choose, lead, create, and live.
Because when you begin changing your relationship with yourself, that change does not stop with you.
It changes what you accept.
It changes what you model.
It changes how you love.
It changes what you teach the people around you.
It changes what you create next.
That is why I do this work.
Whether I am sitting with one person as a coach, teaching a room, speaking from a stage, writing a book, recording a conversation, or developing the work taught through Your Own University®, the mission is the same:
Help people reclaim themselves from what happened and consciously create who they become next.
